Another surprising moment in the IPL 2026 auction. Liam Livingston went unsold in the event. The star all-rounder went into the auction with a base price of INR 2 crore, and no one showed interest in him.

The England all-rounder was considered one of the main attractions in the auction, as he can perform equally well with the bat and with the ball. Livingston has the ability to launch big hits from the lower-middle batting order. But the cricketer often has to deal with inconsistency. Which perhaps led him to the unsold category player section.

Apart from the England cricket team, Liam Livingston has so far played in eight different franchise leagues. Last season, he was with the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), who won their maiden IPL title in 2025. For them, the all-rounder played a total of 10 matches, a good number of matches to show skills.

Liam Livingston surprisingly went unsold in IPL 2026 auction

RCB was the winner of IPL 2025, but on an individual basis, the season went underwhelming for him. In 10 matches and 8 innings for RCB, Livingston scored only 112 runs, which made his batting average 16.00. Apart from a 54-run knock, the right-hander failed to impress the franchise officials. Ahead of the IPL 2026 season, RCB let him go from the squad and showed zero intention to secure his services again in the mini auction today.

His recent form was also not eye-catching. After playing an unbeaten 82 runs in ILT20 vs Warriors, in the following four games his bat remained cold.
