Ashwin Kumar Shines with Four Wickets on Dream IPL Debut for Mumbai Indians

Mumbai Indian's impressive young fast bowler Ashwin Kumar made a dream IPL debut by grabbing four wickets against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at Wankhede Stadium. The left-arm medium-pacer completely destroyed KKR's batting team with the bowling figures of 4/24, as the Mumbai Indians emerged winners. With his impressive bowling exuberance, Ashwin made his presence felt straight away by getting KKR's skipper Ajinkya Rahane out at his very first ball. He followed that up with an aggressive spell in which he removed Rinku Singh and Manish Pandey one after the other without allowing them to settle down. Along with those, his most important wicket and the final nail in KKR's coffin was that of Andre Russell, whom he got out, thus KKR's resistance came to an end. Ashwin's impressive spell made him the only one Indian bowler to get four wickets on an IPL debut, among very few others.
