Former CSK captain and all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja and his wife Rivaba recently met Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Sharing pictures on his official X account, Jadeja described the meeting as a privilege and an honour, adding that he got a chance to learn about leadership.
Rivaba Jadeja is a BJP member and holds the position of Minister of Tribal Development, Primary, Secondary, and Adult Education in Gujarat. Ravindra Jadeja is also recognised as one of India’s top cricketers, having played key roles in India’s victories in the 2013 Champions Trophy and the T20 World Cup 2024.
In the shared pictures, Jadeja is seen giving a bouquet of flowers to the Prime Minister, while his wife presented him with a shawl. He wrote on X:
"An absolute privilege and honour to meet and interact with Hon’ble PM Shri Narendra Modi, sir. His clarity of thought, enthusiasm and commitment to excellence are deeply inspiring. A privilege to learn from such leaders."
Ravindra Jadeja Retains Top Spot in BCCI Contracts
The Saurashtra all-rounder last played for India in the ODI series at home against New Zealand. He retired from T20I cricket after the World Cup two years ago but continues to play in ODIs and Tests. During the recent 50-over series against New Zealand, Jadeja struggled with the bat, scoring 4, 27, and 12, and took only one wicket in three matches.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced the list of contracted players for October 1, 2025, to September 30, 2026. Along with Test captain Shubman Gill and star pacer Jasprit Bumrah, Jadeja was offered a Grade A contract, showing his continued importance to Indian cricket.
Rajasthan Royals Await Jadeja in IPL 2026
Jadeja will next play in the 2026 Indian Premier League (IPL) for the Rajasthan Royals. He joined the Royals in a high-profile trade from the Chennai Super Kings (CSK).
