Abhishek Nayar Revealed His Preferred XI:

Abhishek Nayar revealed his preferred India playing XI for the upcoming 2025 Asia Cup. His selection blends youth and experience, aiming to create a balanced side capable of adapting to different conditions and delivering consistent performances.

With Shubman Gill making his comeback to the T20I squad and being named vice-captain, Abhishek Nayar placed his trust in him as an opener. He paired Shubman with the young Abhishek Sharma, forming a promising opening partnership. The combination reflects a mix of experience and youthful energy, setting a strong base for India’s batting in the Asia Cup.

In Nayar’s lineup, Tilak Varma and Suryakumar Yadav batted at 3 and 4, with Pandya, Sharma, Patel, and Dube in the middle-lower order. For the bowling unit, he leaned on spin power, selecting Kuldeep Yadav and Varun Chakaravarthy to strengthen India’s attack, giving the squad depth and variety in crucial conditions.

In Nayar’s preferred XI, Jasprit Bumrah was chosen as the only frontline pacer, while the absence of left-arm quick Arshdeep Singh came as a surprise. Along with Arshdeep, Sanju Samson, Harshit Rana, and Rinku Singh did not find a place in the lineup, as Nayar prioritized a balanced mix of batting depth and spin options for the upcoming Asia Cup challenge.

According to Abhishek Nayar, India’s probable playing 11 for Asia Cup is Abhishek Sharma, Shubman Gill, Suryakumar Yadav (c), Hardik Pandya, Tilak Varma, Jitesh Sharma (wk), Axar Patel, Shivam Dube, Kuldeep Yadav, Varun Chakaravarthy, and Jasprit Bumrah.
