The ex-girlfriend of former Punjab Kings (PBKS) player Bhanuka Rajapaksa has been arrested in a case related to a gold chain dispute. The chain, reportedly worth ₹9 lakh, was said to have been given to her during their relationship.

According to reports, the woman allegedly pledged the gold chain without informing the cricketer. After finding out, Rajapaksa filed a complaint with the police, which led to legal action being taken in the matter.

Following the complaint, police arrested her and presented her in court. During the hearing, she admitted her mistake, and the court later granted her bail with certain conditions, bringing a new twist to the case.

Sri Lankan cricketer Bhanuka Rajapaksa took legal action against actress Harshi Rasanga over statements she made on social media. Rajapaksa stated that her claims were false and misleading, which led him to approach his legal team.

The dispute is related to a gold chain worth over ₹9 lakh. According to Rajapaksa, he had given the chain to her for temporary use, but she later pledged it without informing him. The situation became more serious when Harshi shared a different version of events on social media, which did not match her statement in court.

Following this, Rajapaksa sent a formal legal notice through his lawyers. During the court hearing, Harshi admitted her mistake and assured that she would return the chain. The court granted her bail on two sureties of ₹5 lakh each. However, after getting bail, she again shared a different claim on social media, adding a new twist to the case.

The court considered her admission while hearing the case and decided to grant her bail under certain conditions. She was released on two sureties of ₹5 lakh each, as directed by the court. However, the matter did not end there, as her statements outside the court later created more confusion about the case. Court Grants Bail with ₹10 Lakh Surety in High-Profile Case

The case took a surprising turn when the court granted bail to actress Harshi Rasanga. The court allowed her release on two sureties of ₹5 lakh each. After getting bail, she made a strong statement on social media, saying that Bhanuka Rajapaksa had gifted her the gold chain during their relationship.

So far, Rajapaksa has not given any public response to her claim. However, her statement has added a new twist to the case and created more discussion around it.

The Kaduwela Magistrate Court has asked the Thalangama police to present the gold chain in court during the next hearing. As per reports, the next hearing of the case is scheduled for April 22.
