India defeated the New Zealand team by 96 runs in the ICC Men's T20 World Cup final at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Sunday.
After the victory, there was also a moment of faith and gratitude. Gautam Gambhir, Suryakumar Yadav and Jay Shah visited a Hanuman temple in Ahmedabad to offer prayers after India won the title.
The three went to the temple shortly after India team secured a strong win in the final. The victory was very special because it marked India’s second T20 World Cup win in a row. It also showed the team’s strong performance in the shortest format of cricket.

India’s Big Win in the T20 World Cup Final
India delivered a strong performance in the final of the ICC Men's T20 World Cup at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. India scored a very big total and then bowled well to defeat New Zealand by 96 runs. The victory started huge celebrations in the stadium as players, staff and fans enjoyed the historic moment.
Chasing a target of 256 runs, New Zealand struggled from the start. At one stage, they were 72 for 5. Tim Seifert scored a fighting half-century, but the team could not recover. New Zealand were finally bowled out for 159 runs in 19 overs.
India’s batters played excellent cricket. Sanju Samsonled the innings with a strong 89 runs. Abhishek Sharma also played an important knock, scoring 52 runs from just 21 balls. Ishan Kishan added 54 runs, while Shivam Dube hit quick runs in the final over. India finished with a huge total of 255/5 in 20 overs.
With such a big score, India’s bowlers had enough runs to defend. They bowled with discipline and secured the big win.
Celebrations Turn Chaotic in Madhya Pradesh
After the victory, celebrations took place across the country. However, in Madhya Pradesh, the celebrations turned chaotic. A police constable was injured during late-night celebrations near Sayaji Gate.
Large crowds gathered to celebrate India’s win. Fans burst firecrackers, waved Indian flags and shouted slogans as they celebrated the team’s big victory.
