'Gautam Gambhir is Rubbish'— Geoffrey Boycott's straight verdict on air

A part of cricket fans has started to blame head coach Gautam Gambhir. In 11 test matches, team India under Gambhir's coaching tasted victory in only 3 matches, lost in 7, and drew 1 game. Overall, in Tests, Coach Gambhir's win ratio is 27.27, which is way below the expectations. Now, a recently shared video on the social media platform 'X' has attracted cricket followers. In his video we can hear Geoffrey Boycott's brutal criticism about Gautam Gambhir.

Boycott called Gambhir 'rubbish'

The footage is taken from an old England vs. India match. Gambhir was then an active player in the playing XI. In this match, James Anderson needed only one ball to take Gambhir's wicket. He departed without making any runs. The left-handed player tried to leave the ball but couldn't execute the thought and went back to the dugout after a catch behind the stumps. The boycott left no room to criticize Gambhir.

During his commentary duties on air, the cricket icon said, "There are three other batsmen in the side who are playing rubbing. And he's (Gautam Gambhir) now marking the crease out, and he's one of them... I've told you he can't bat in England." Boycott directly called batsman Gautam Gambhir "rubbish."
