Watch: Gautam Gambhir spotted at Arjun Tendulkar’s wedding before IND vs ENG T20 WC 2026 semifinal

India head coach Gautam Gambhir was seen arriving at the wedding of Arjun Tendulkar in Mumbai. The ceremony took place just hours before India’s important T20 World Cup semifinal against England. Gambhir attended the event dressed in traditional attire. His appearance quickly caught the attention of fans and media.

India had been under pressure in the Super 8 stage of the tournament before. The team, however, pulled off a strong performance and knocked the two-time champions out of the tournament. The win took India into a semi-final berth. The team was preparing to face England in the crucial knockout clash.

Interestingly, the wedding function was held at the same hotel where the Indian team was staying before the semifinal. Because of this, Gambhir was able to attend the event without disrupting the team’s preparations. Reports also suggested that a few other members of the Indian squad were present at the ceremony. Several well-known personalities from different fields also attended the celebration.

Arjun Tendulkar’s Engagement and Cricket Career

Arjun Tendulkar and Saaniya Chandhok got engaged in August last year. Saaniya comes from a well-known family background. She is the granddaughter of Ravi Ghai, who is the Chairman of the Graviss Group. Saaniya has also been a close friend of the Tendulkar family for many years, especially Arjun’s sister Sara Tendulkar.

Arjun, 26, has played five matches in the Indian Premier League for Mumbai Indians. During this time, he has taken three wickets while conceding 114 runs. He has also scored 13 runs in his IPL career so far. In domestic cricket, Arjun currently represents Goa after making his debut for Mumbai in 2021.

Ahead of the IPL 2026 mini-auction last year, Arjun was traded from the Mumbai Indians to the Lucknow Super Giants. He is expected to represent the Lucknow franchise in the upcoming season. Earlier, Arjun was bought by Mumbai Indians for Rs 20 lakh in the IPL 2021 mini-auction, although he did not get a chance to play in that season.
