Good news for CSK as their young gun recovered from injury ahead of IPL 2026
One of the top young batting talents of Chennai Super Kings (CSK) has recovered from an injury. He is all set to join the team India soon.

Good news for Indian cricket, as Ayush Mhatre is set to join the India Under-19 team after recovering from an injury. He was out from the India vs South Africa U-19 ODI series because of a wrist injury. As per media reports, Mhatre is on the way to join the team in South Africa. He is expected to join the main squad soon.
It was a setback for India, as their couple of key players – captain Ayush Mhatre and Vihaan Malhotra – received news ahead of the 2026 Under-19 World Cup, which is scheduled to start on January 15. The opening match of the tournament will be held between India and the United States of America (USA). The tournament will be jointly hosted by Zimbabwe and Namibia.
According to the latest report published by the Indian Express, Ayush Mhatre has left for South Africa to join the Indian Under-19 team after receiving permission from the Board of Control for Cricket in India's Centre of Excellence (CoE) in Bengaluru.

Ayush Mhatre all set to join India U-19 as he recovered from injury
For the Under-19 World Cup, BCCI already announced the full squad. Mhatre will be the captain, while Malhotra will assist him as the vice-captain of the team. Team India is in Group A along with the United States, New Zealand, and Bangladesh.
During the 3-match ODI series against South Africa, in the absence of Mhatre, Vaibhav Suryavanshi was assigned as the skipper, who did his job precisely. Under the leadership of Vaibhav, India claimed the series by 3-0, which is definitely working as a confidence booster for the entire squad ahead of the World Cup.
