A hilarious video has gone viral around the social media platforms which saw the groundsmen being blowj off their feet at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore amidst the strong wind and rain.

The grounds men are the heart of a game in various stadiums, as they look after the condition of the pitches and the infrastructure before the start of the game. But sometimes, they also struggled to get the motion right in foul weather, as such a picture went viral on social media during the Pakistan Super League 2026.
After a day’s break in the event, the action returned to the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore for the seventh encounter of the competition between the Peshawar Zalmi and the Islamabad United. Two days ago, the ground saw the famous ball tempering saga for which Fakhar Zaman was banned for two games.

The weather hasn’t been good, and due to the strong wind, the grounds men have struggled to keep pace and put the cover on the surface to save it from the rain. The game was also delayed due to the drizzle for the first half an hour of the game.

“Before the rain, the ground was in perfect condition, but after the rain, you can’t expect everything to be ideal - if we can get even around 50 percent conditions, especially outside the 30-yard circle, we will try our best to have a game. The ground staff mentioned they have limited resources right now - they can’t use the big supers sopper on the field because it’s too soft and it might damage the surface for future games.” Umpire Ahsan Raza said in the interview.
