In Match 3 of the 2025 Global Super League (GSL), Dubai Capitals played Hobart Hurricanes at the Providence Stadium in Guyana. After winning the toss, the Hobart Hurricanes decided to bowl first, a decision that paid off with their disciplined bowling and clinical run chase. Hobart Hurricanes chased down a modest total with ease, winning by 7 wickets and with three overs still remaining.

Dubai Capitals Innings

Batting first, Dubai Capitals scored 141/8 in 20 overs, with captain Gulbadin Naib leading from the front. He scores 31 off 27 balls and was the guiding force of the innings in the top order. He was well supported by Sediqullah Atal, who provided quick acceleration with a 25 off just 11 balls. Jesse Bootan chipped in with 18 from 18 deliveries, but a regular fall of wickets meant the Capitals could never truly break free.

Hobart's bowling lineup was led by Mohammad Nabi, who collected excellent figures of 3/21 in 4 overs, holding the middle order firm. He was ably supported by Fabian Allen, who equaled Nabi with another 3/21 in his spell. Odean Smith bowled frugally too, ending up with 1/7 from 2 overs.

Hobart Hurricanes Innings

In reply, the Hurricanes chased down the target with ease, reaching 142/3 in 17 overs. Macalister Wright anchored the innings with a solid 50 off 47 balls, pacing the chase smartly. Ben McDermott, with an aggressive 48 off 24 deliveries, turned the game in Hobart’s favor rapidly during the middle overs. Jake Doran remained unbeaten on 23 to steer the team home.

Dubai Capitals tried to make inroads through their spinners, with Aryaman Varma (1/17), Rohan Mustafa (1/18), and Qais Ahmad (1/22) picking up a wicket each, but the total was never enough to seriously challenge the Hurricanes.
