The Rajasthan Royals and Mumbai Indians played an exciting IPL match at the Barsapara Stadium in Guwahati. Due to rain, the match was reduced to 11 overs per side. This made the game very fast and both teams had to attack from the start.
Rajasthan Royals batted first and scored 150/3 in 11 overs. Yashasvi Jaiswal played a brilliant unbeaten knock of 77 runs from 32 balls. Vaibhav Suryavanshi gave a quick start with 39 runs off 14 balls, and both added 80 runs in just 5 overs. For Mumbai Indians, Allah Mohammad Ghazanfar was the best bowler with 2 wickets for 21 runs in 2 overs.
In reply, Mumbai Indians scored 123/9 in their 11 overs and lost the match by 27 runs. Sherfane Rutherford scored 25 runs off just 8 balls, while Naman Dhir added 25 off 13 balls. For Rajasthan Royals, Nandre Burger, Sandeep Sharma, and Ravi Bishnoi picked up two wickets each and kept the pressure on.

Harbhajan Singh was very impressed with Vaibhav Suryavanshi’s batting. He gave a standing salute during commentary. He praised the young player for his confidence and fearless batting.

Vaibhav has emerged as one of the most promising young batsmen in the IPL. In the IPL 2025, he made 252 runs in seven matches at a strike rate of more than 200, which included a hundred. In the IPL 2026, he made 122 runs in three matches with a strike rate of around 280, which clearly shows his good performance despite being young.
Vaibhav Suryavanshi shines with impactful knock against MI
Suryavanshi played an aggressive innings and provided a good start to Rajasthan. He made 39 runs off 14 balls, which included one boundary and five sixes, with a strike rate of 278.57.
The 15-year-old faced his first ball from Jasprit Bumrah and hit it for a six after Bumrah missed his yorker. He also smashed another six in the same over, showing his fearless batting. His fast innings helped Rajasthan Royals put up a big score.
