Just after the end of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025, India had a couple of games for theAside against the Lions to prepare for the five-match Test series in England. It was a tough decision for KL Rahul, the opening batter, to come three weeks before the start of the series, especially staying away from his newborn daughter.

Rahul looked back at the period when he made the hard decision. But he knew that for them to earn success, the opening partnership between him and Yashasvi Jaiswal would be key, and just like that, it would help the Blue Brigade to put a stable and strong score on the board.
