The premier all-rounder of the Indian side, Hardik Pandya, gifted a massive cheque of INR 1.5 lakh to his die-hard fan, who used a cycle to move from Odisha to Bengaluru for more than 12 days to only meet his idol, who has been practicing hard in the BCCI Centre of Excellence in Bengaluru. 

Hardik didn’t enjoy a great Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 for the Mumbai Indians, where the franchise finished at the ninth position of the points table among the ten sides under his leadership. He didn’t do well either with the bat and ball in hand.

What happened in Hardik Pandya's viral fan video?

The die-hard fan of Hardik cycled from Odisha to Bengaluru for more than 12 days just to meet the all-rounder. He gave a small gift to Hardik, who seemed to be quite happy with it as the video went viral on social media platforms.

The Baroda all-rounder also gave his fan INR 1.5 lakh besides covering his return travel expenses. He also gifted him the brand new One8 shoes of Virat Kohli, which were launched a week ago.

The story didn’t end here as Hardik invited the boy to his home and sent him back in his own Ferrari. It shows how pure a gentleman he is apart from his superb performance in the field.

Why is Hardik Pandya moving to Bengaluru?

Recently, Hardik has shifted his base to Bengaluru with the aim of making the BCCI’s COE his permanent training base for the remainder of his career, becoming the first prominent current player of India to do so. He is originally from Baroda in Gujarat, but he has spent the last decade of his life in Mumbai and trained primarily at his IPL franchise, the Mumbai Indians’ facilities in Ghansoli.

The 32-year-old, who has been recovering from the quadriceps injury and was ruled out of the white-ball trip to the United Kingdom, has spent a decent amount of time at the COE over the last six months.

Hardik has already permanently shifted to Bengaluru. He has rented a property on the outskirts of the city, close to the COE. He will be the first Indian cricketer to make the COE his permanent training base for the remainder of his career.The report is addressed as per the BCCI source.
