Hardik Pandya to miss India vs Pakistan Asia Cup 2025 Final? Morne Morkel's comment raises tension

Ahead of the India vs Pakistan Asia Cup 2025 final match, there are concerns over Hardik Pandya's availability. During the India vs Sri Lanka Super Four match, multiple Team India players suffered with cramps.

Hardik Pandya and Abhishek Sharma looked like the most sufferers under the Dubai heat. After the match, Team India bowling coach Morne Morkel informed about Sharma and Pandya's conditions. Morkel said that the opener was fine, but there were some worries around the pace bowling all-rounder. Ahead of the final match, Team India has very little time to recover.

Sharma played a blistering 61-run knock against 31 deliveries with eight boundaries and a couple of 6s. During the ninth over of the second innings, he was spotted clutching his hamstring. He had to leave the field with a substitute that came into the game to replace him for the remainder of the match. As usual, Pandya delivered the first over with the new ball and was then seen holding his left hamstring. Like Sharma, he left the field and did not return for the remainder of the match.

The experienced cricketer was on the bench, resting, for around 19 overs and during the Super Over as well. After the match, Morkel informed the press conference that both players were struggling with cramps during the match. Abhishek is fine, but Hardik would be assessed a day before the final.

"So both of them struggled with cramps during the game. Hardik, I know we’ll see sort of tonight and tomorrow morning, and we’ll make a call on that. But both of them were just struggling with cramps during the game. Abhishek is fine," Morkel said. 

From the comments it was clear that Hardik's condition looked more serious. As of now, Team India can only hope for the best ahead of the summit clash against Pakistan.
