Hardik Pandya's injury can be more serious than the team management thought before; it was probably not only a niggle. As per the latest media reports, the star all-rounder, who delivered only one over in Team India's last Super Four match of the Asia Cup 2025 against Sri Lanka, can miss multiple matches against Australia.

India is scheduled to face Australia in a multi-format series starting from October 19. Before that, the team management will keep Pandya under medical observation, as per the reports. It is claimed that the pace bowling all-rounder can miss the 3-match ODI series, as well as some initial matches of the 5-match T20I series against Australia. It will be an away tour for Team India.

According to a report published by Dainik Jagaran, the star Indian cricketer has suffered a left quadriceps injury; it can take 4 weeks to recover fully. If he recovers in time, he may play in some of the five T20 matches. Hardik Pandya's absence can be a big blow for Team India.

During the Asia Cup 2025, he was seen in a new role. Captain Suryakumar Yadav utilized his pace bowling skills with the new ball; he was treated as the bowling partner of Jasprit Bumrah, which was a new strategy for the Men in Blue. Without Pandya, it will be interesting to see the team's bowling strategy in limited overs games, especially in T20Is against Australia.
