All eyes on Jasprit Bumrah. Bumrah's availability can prove decisive for India's upcoming five-match Test series against England starting on June 20 at Leeds. Before heading towards England, team India head coach Gautam Gambhir said that Bumrah can play 3 out of 5 matches in the away series, which means the pacer can miss a couple of matches in England.

The pacer's service will be decided depending on his physical condition and fitness level. Due to excessive pressure and repeated matches, Bumrah had to suffer back pain after last year's Border Gavaskar Trophy in Australia.

From then on, BCCI is taking extra precautions about the speed star's workload management. The England vs. India Test series will start on June 20; will Bumrah be a part of the match? Team India bowling coach Morne Morkel was totally impressed to see the 31-year-old's energy level during the training sessions. Bumrah was impressive and looked lethal as always. India will play an intra-squad match from June 13 to 16 at Beckenham. There, how Bumrah's performance can be monitored closely to finalize his work schedule.

Morkel's observations about Jasprit Bumrah

"Bumrah knows how to get himself ready; he knows how to prepare. I was blown away to see the energy on the ball the last three days. That's very exciting to see. I'm happy his body is in good shape at the moment. We'll manage him with that. We'll be smart with him because he's obviously key for us, but in terms of the first three net sessions, there's a lot to be excited about watching him bowl with the Dukes ball," Morkel said.

"He's skillful. He's a guy that can bowl that magical ball, so for him it's about creating that consistency; it's something we want to work on, and it's important for his game as well. I've had conversations with him where I've challenged him to bowl a bit more, and I want to see the ball more in his hands. We all know what he can do with the ball."
