Hyderabad Kingsmen troll Lahore Qalandars over ball-tampering incident during PSL 2026
One of the franchises of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) for the 2026 season, the Hyderabad Kingsmen, have trolled the Lahore Qalandars over the ball-tempering incident in social media post.

The sixth encounter of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2026 between the Lahore Qalandars and the Karachi Kings at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore saw the shocking ball tempering incident making an impact in the competition, as the reports have gone viral on social media platforms. The three veteran players of the franchise have found themselves under the scanner.
Hyderabad Kingsmen faced the opposition in the curtain raiser of the competition and lost the fixture by 69 runs after they got bundled out for 130 runs in 20 overs in reply to 199 runs for the loss of six wickets in their allotted 20 overs.

The franchise, post the contest against the Karachi Kings and Lahore, made a hilarious social media post on the ball tempering scandal, as it confirmed the mistake of the Afridi-led side in the league. A day after the sixth encounter, the Kingsmen put a funny post on X (formerly known as Twitter).
In the post, they put a tick beside the phase ‘Pink Ball’, and put a cross sign beside the phase ‘Tempered Ball’ to call it wrong, as the post has indicated the troll against the Qalandars for the ball tempering scandal.

The incident happened heading into the last over of the contest. The Lahore side took a little more time in setting the field, which saw them getting handed the penalty of putting an extra fielder inside the 30-yard circle, as only four players were allowed to be stationed outside the ring.

But it didn’t end at that position as the fourth umpire ran with a box of balls before the two on-field umpires decided to change the used delivery as it lost the condition. The video replayed to show that Fakhar Zaman, Afridi, and Haris Rauf were part of a group meeting where they tried to change the shape of the ball.
The five-run penalty gave a massive advantage to the Kings, who completed the chase by four wickets and with three balls to spare.
