I admire Christiano Ronaldo for his work ethic: Mohammed Siraj

The Day 5 of fifth Test of the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy was filled withe drama as England needed just 30 odd runs and India required just four wickets to win at the start of the day. Though India managed to sneak a thrilling win on Day 5, the day was also filled withe numerous mind games in order to have an upper hand on the opposition.

One person who stood out on day was Mohammed Siraj. He was the lawnmower with three wickets on the day and his every wicket was followed by famous celebration from football icon Christiano Ronaldo. In a video uploaded by ICC, Siraj opened up about his affinity with the famous “siuu” celebration and his admiration for Ronaldo.

"The Ronaldo celebration comes only when I get someone bowled, not when there is a catch or any other form of dismissal. I do that celebration because I like him a lot and I admire him. Because of his work ethic and the routine he follows. Also the consistency in his performance. He has a never give up attitude. The fitness and his recovery routine and I like that kind of attitude. Siraj sought motivation on Day 5 from Ronaldo

Mohammed Siraj revealed at the end or fifth Test that he downloaded a “Believe” wallpaper featuring ronaldo and put it on the screen of his phone. And the move proved to be fruitful as he sought immense motivation from it and went onto become Man of the Match.
