Suryakumar Yadav: A Leader Beyond the T20I Captaincy

Suryakumar Yadav's rise to becoming India's T20I captain, we see it's not only a story of professional achievement, but also of personal growth. After the T20 World Cup win in Barbados,where star players of the game, such as Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, and Ravindra Jadeja, stopped playing T20I matches. Suryakumar was asked to take on a very big responsibility.

His reaction to getting the captain's role for India's T20I team was deeply personal. In Hotstar, he said, It was an emotional moment. I called my family, and we had a nice exchange. Then I took a deep breath, felt that moment, and celebrated. This celebration was a simple affair, just Suryakumar cooking a meal with his wife and soaking in the special time with his nearest and dearest.
