Rishabh Pant is again sidelined due to a serious injury. An injury that he sustained during the fourth Test of the recently concluded Anderson-Tendulkar trophy, where India won the last match of the series and made the scoreline 2-2. Pant was not a part of the series decider match because of his injured foot. For a sportsman, it is very hard to remain out of action for a long period of time. As Rishabh sustained a fractured foot, he may have to remain out of the field for a long time, which annoys him very much.
Recently, he took to his official Instagram account to share his exceeding emotions, as he is not able to move freely with the bandaged foot. He shared a photo of his injured foot in the Instagram story and wrote 'I hate this so much' on that.
During the fourth of the five-match series, the left-handed batter tried to play his trademark ramp shot against England fast bowler Chris Woakes. Pant misjudged the line of the delivery and ended up with a fractured foot. The full-length delivery from Woakes directly lashed on his foot. Rishabh was in utter pain and had to leave the field.

It can take some time to recover
He returned later in the innings to contribute a brave half-century, which earned him an ovation from the entire cricket-loving community. Despite injury concerns on more than one occasion, the southpaw played his part well as a batter in England. He returned to India as the fourth-highest run getter for India in the series. With a couple of centuries and 3 half-centuries, the 27-year-old concluded his run with 479 runs with his name.
The keeper-batter sustained another injury before the painful foot fracture. It was an incident during the third match of the tour against England when India was doing their fielding work. Pant, behind the wickets, threw his body to stop a delivery from Jasprit Bumrah. As the land was a little bit rough, Pant injured his finger, though that injury was not a severe one. But this injury on his foot is serious and can take more time to heal. Now, Pant has no option left but to wait with patience.
