New Zealand quick Lockie Ferguson still remembers when he used to face Rohit Sharma in international and club cricket. In a recent online conversation, Ferguson simply marked Sharma as a 'great' batsman.
The 34-year-old played a lot of cricket against Indian cricketers. He is considered one of the express bowlers in modern-day cricket. With the luxury pace, a bouncer can be more venomous against any batsman in the world. But Rohit Sharma, throughout his career, proved that his mettle is different. The right-handed batter has specialized in playing pull shots. It was an eye-soothing sight to see Sharma playing a pull shot against pace bowlers.
Ferguson, when he was talking about Rohit, especially mentioned his ability to play the particular shot. The bowler said that he used to deliver bouncers against the India batsman, but Rohit slammed those deliveries precisely with his trademark pull shots.

New Zealand recalled memories playing against Rohit Sharma
"He is a great player; I don't think I need to talk about his achievements. But clearly a great player for India and Mumbai as well. I tend to bowl short balls, but he is a very good player," New Zealand pacer Lockie Ferguson said.
Rohit Sharma is now only available for the One Day International format, as he already took retirements from T20I and Test cricket. He signed off from Twenty20 Internationals right after winning the ICC T20I World Cup and retired from Test cricket ahead of the 2025 Anderson-Tendulkar trophy. BCCI recently conducted the Bronco Test to measure the fitness level of cricketers, and the Mumbaikar got the pass marks. His fans are hoping to see him in action during the upcoming ODI series against Australia.
