Both West Indies and Zimbabwe are unbeaten in the tournament. While the West Indies won all four of their matches in the group stage of the competition, Zimbabwe recorded three wins and one no result in the group stage.
In Group C, the West Indies beat Scotland, England, Nepal, and Italy. Meanwhile, Group B team Zimbabwe defeated Oman and Australia before a rain washout fixture against Ireland, while winning against the hosts Sri Lanka in their last group stage match.
