West Indies will play Italy in Match 37 of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 on Thursday, 19th February, at the Eden Gardens, Kolkata. West Indies have confirmed their place in the Super Eight and will look to keep their winning streak intact, while Italy will at least seek to end their tournament on a high.

West Indies have been one of the most consistent teams in the group stage. They have taken part in 3 matches so far and looks confident in both batting and bowling. In their last match against Nepal, they restricted the opposing team to a low score, with Jason Holder leading the bowling attack. Later, Shai Hope and Shimron Hetmyer helped the team to a comfortable victory. The Caribbean team will hope to continue this form.

On the other hand, Italy not have qualified for the next round, but they have certainly shown improvement in this tournament. They have won only one match, which was against Nepal, and that too was a comprehensive win. In their previous match against England, they fought hard while chasing a big target but fell short by 24 runs.
Justin Mosca, Ben Manenti and Grant Stewart were the stand out performers with the bat in that game. Italy will now hope to end their journey on a positive note.

WI vs ITA: Pitch Report

The pitch at Eden Gardens in Kolkata is likely to help bowlers at the start of the match. Fast bowlers will get good support with the new ball and can trouble batters early on. As the game goes on, batting will become easier and players can score well. Later, spinners will also get good turn from the surface. The average first-innings score here this year is about 170 runs.
