IND vs AFG 1st T20I weather report: Will rain spoil sport in Delhi?

Cloudy conditions and a chance of rain are looming over the IND vs AFG 1st T20I at Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi tonight. Here's the latest weather update, along with the head-to-head record

After the drawn two-match Test series against Sri Lanka by a 1-1 margin, India have turned their focus on the three-match T20I series against Afghanistan, beginning on September 13. The games will be played at the Arun Jaitley Stadium, despite the opponents getting hosting rights for the series. All the games will begin at 7 in the evening.   

India, out of the last three T20I series, has won only one, which came against Zimbabwe in Harare. They lost their first-ever T20I series against Ireland just after the end of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 and the T20I series against England in the United Kingdom.

Weather report of Arun Jaitley Stadium Tonight in IND vs AFG 1st T20I

As per AccuWeather, the morning weather in Delhi for the first Afghanistan vs India T20I will be partly sunny, with the temperature hovering around 32 degrees Celsius. The probability of precipitation during the period is around 25%, with the cloud cover likely to be around 26% and the humidity level at 77%.

As the afternoon comes, the conditions in Delhi are likely to be cloudy, with some rain being expected. The temperature during the period is going to be around 34 degrees, with the probability of precipitation rising to 64%, while the cloud cover is likely to be 76%.

In the evening, during the course of the game, there are chances of showers. The temperature will fall to 28 degrees Celsius. There is also a chance of a thunderstorm.

India & Afghanistan head-to-head in T20Is — Where to watch

India have completely dominated the head-to-head record against Afghanistan in T20Is, winning eight out of their nine encounters. The remaining match ended in a no result, meaning the Rashid Khan-led side is searching for the fifth-ever T20I victory over the blue brigade.

The matches are broadcast live across the Sony Sports Network. One can tune in to Sony Sports Ten 5 for English commentary, or Sony Sports Ten 3 and Sony Sports Ten 4 for the Hindi language options. The free-to-air telecast is also available on DD Sports.

The series is going to be streamed online via the FanCode app and the website. The game, notably, will not be available on JioHotstar. The second and third games will follow the same process.
