Abhishek Sharma dropped an easy catch. Hardik Pandya could have gotten an early dismissal for India in the 2nd match of the Super 4s of the ongoing Asia Cup 2025 against Pakistan (IND vs PAK Asia Cup 2025). Pandya was disappointed, and Team India was disappointed. Can it be a turning point of the high-octane match?
Sahibzada Farhan was in discomfort and looking uneasy against Hardik Pandya. As before, India skipper Suryakumar Yadav handed over the new ball to his pace-bowling all-rounder Hardik Pandya. Pandya started off the match with a good rhythm and got to swing the ball from the very first delivery of the first innings.
On the other side, Farhan, one of Pakistan's openers, perhaps in a little bit of discomfort, had his hand tapped heavily and tried to go big against Pandya. The move from the batter was against the flow of the over.

Sharma dropped an easy catch under pressure
Pandya delivered a full-length round-off delivery to the batter. The batter tried to smack the ball, but his feet were almost unmoved, and he swung the bat from a distance. The ball did not touch the sweet spot of the blade and went high in the air. Instantly, India got a clear chance for a quick breakthrough.
Sharma was well under the line of the ball. It looked like a routine catch for the young star. But under pressure, he made a mistake. Sharma dropped the ball. In the deep third cordon, the fielder misjudged the trajectory of the ball and reacted late. At the end of the moment, he dived forward but could not grab it.
