India need 2 runs in 2 overs, Kohli scored fifty and take a single on the second last ball of the over, and MS Dhoni gets the strike for the first time in the match. If Dhoni wants to end the match he should do that in his style like 2011 World Cup. But he didn’t he blocked the last ball and gives the strike to Virat Kohli who played an important knock to win the crucial match. In the very next ball, Kohli hits the ball for four and wins the match for India. 

So this proves Dhoni’s mindset for younger cricketers. He knew who is entitled to which thing.

Surprisingly the same situation occurred in the last T20I against West Indies, but this time no Kohli, no Dhoni. India’s new T20I captain Hardik on the strike, and the opposite side youngster Tilak Verma batting 49 runs. At that time India need 2 runs in 14 balls. But this Hardik hits the ball for six and ends the match. And Tilak who played continuously exciting important knocks for the 3rd time in the series for one more time waiting to get his first international fifty.
