The stage is all set for the collision of two giants—the India Women's team and the South Africa Women's team. It is the same ground, the DY Patil Sports Academy in Navi Mumbai, where Jemimah Rodrigues scored a stunning century to successfully chase down a massive total set by Australia. Captain Harmanpreet Kaur missed a hundred only by a few runs. Now, they have to overcome the South African challenge to claim the ICC Women's World Cup 2025 trophy.

On the other side, the South Africa Women's cricket team, who played the finals of the T20 World Cup in 2023 and 2024 before, came to play the final today with all their experiences of performing in high-pressure matches. Apart from two setbacks in the tournament, including being bowled out for 69 against England, South Africa proved their dominating nature. Laura Wolvaardt’s breathtaking 169 and Marizanne Kapp’s five-wicket haul perfectly summed up their clash against England in the semifinal.

Toss Update:

The toss can be very crucial for the match because of the rain and heavy weather conditions in Navi Mumbai. Laura Wolvaardt, South Africa skipper won the toss and decided to bowl first in the rain threatened final match.

"We are going to bowl first. Bit of rain around and there might be dew later on, hoping for a bit of slippinness early on with all the rain around. We are unchanged from the semis", she said.
