India’s senior side will finish their New Zealand tour on December 01 before starting the home ODI series against Sri Lanka on December 13. India and Nepal have faced each in just one T20I before. That took place during the Asian Games in 2023 in Hangzhou. The blue brigade batted first and posted 202 runs for the loss of four wickets in their allotted 20 overs with Yashasvi Jaiswal smashed 100 runs off just 49 balls with the help of eight boundaries and seven sixes.

Nepal, in reply, ended up with 179/9, losing the contest by 23 runs as both Ravi Bishnoi and Avesh Khan picked up three wickets each in the innings.

In the ODIs, both these sides met each other in Kandy during the Asia Cup 2023 where Nepal was bundled out for 230 with Ravindra Jadeja and Mohammad Siraj picking up three wickets each. Later, India made their way to 147/0 in the chase and earned the victory in the DLS method by 10 wickets.
