The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is set to make their relation more stronger with the Nepal Cricket as India A will tour the country for a three-match T20 series in December. The short series will be a massive milestone for the Nepal Cricket with the home side getting the golden chance to test themselves against one of the strongest talent pools of the game.
Moreover, due to the Indian players and their stardom, the fans in Nepal, who already love their cricket team and the game so much, will come in massive numbers in the ground as it will welcome another high-profile international assignment for them.
Why BCCI picked Nepal for this landmark December T20I series
The upcoming series has been seen as a major step being forwarded to the Nepal cricket, which has witnessed rapid growth in the recent years. The series will also strengthen the sporting ties between the two board while showcasing the ability of the country to host the high-profile games.

India’s senior side will finish their New Zealand tour on December 01 before starting the home ODI series against Sri Lanka on December 13. That means some of their T20I players, including Vaibhav Sooryavanshi or Sanju Samson, may become a part of the Nepal trip.

India and Nepal have faced each in just one T20I before. That took place during the Asian Games in 2023 in Hangzhou. The blue brigade batted first and posted 202 runs for the loss of four wickets in their allotted 20 overs with Yashasvi Jaiswal smashed 100 runs off just 49 balls with the help of eight boundaries and seven sixes.

Nepal, in reply, ended up with 179/9, losing the contest by 23 runs as both Ravi Bishnoi and Avesh Khan picked up three wickets each in the innings.
In the ODIs, both these sides met each other in Kandy during the Asia Cup 2023 where Nepal was bundled out for 230 with Ravindra Jadeja and Mohammad Siraj picking up three wickets each. Later, India made their way to 147/0 in the chase and earned the victory in the DLS method by 10 wickets.
