Before the India vs Pakistan Group A match in the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2026 on Sunday night (February 15) at Colombo, India A Women thrashed Pakistan A Women in the Group A fixture of the Women's Asia Cup Rising Stars 2026. 

Pakistan A Women were bundled out for 93 all out

As India A Women suffered a shocking defeat against the UAE Women, it was a must-win game for India A Women to stay in the competition. After Pakistan A Women chose to bat first, they were bundled out for only 93 runs. In reply, India A Women chased down the target in 10.1 overs after losing only two wickets, as they won the match by eight wickets with 59 balls remaining.

Only three Pakistan batters managed double-digit scores in the horrible innings. Apart from the opener Shawaal Zulfiqar (23), only the lower-order batters Gull Rukh (21) and Anosha Nasir (17) were the double-digit scorers for Pakistan A. 

Five out of six Indian bowlers managed to pick up wickets in the game, while two were run outs in that innings. Saima Thakor (2/14), Radha Yadav (2/11), and Prema Rawat (2/16) got two wickets each.

Dinesh Vrinda scored unbeaten half-century

In reply, opener Humaira Kazi was dismissed on the first ball of the second innings. However, the other opener Dinesh Vrinda and the no.3 batter Anushka Sharma controlled the game with a 79-run partnership for the second wicket. While Anushka was dismissed for 24 runs, Vrinda scored 55 not out off 29 balls with the help of 12 fours. Also, Tejal Hasabnis scored 12 not out, as India A Women had no issue in the small chase.
