India celebrate new team record before Pakistan during IND vs NZ 2nd T20I in Raipur
The Indian cricket team has celebrated a massive new team record before their arch-rivals, Pakistan, ahead of the second T20I of the five-match series against New Zealand in Raipur ahead of the T20 World Cup 2026.

Featuring in the second T20I of the five-match series against New Zealand at Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Stadium in Raipur, India, became the third team to play 100 T20Is at home. Before them, only New Zealand and the West Indies have celebrated the feat, with the former featuring in 113 matches and the Caribbean side playing 108 T20I games at home.
Out of these three teams, the 2024 T20 World Cup champions has the best win-loss ratio of 2.31, having registered 67 victories and 29 defeats, apart from one tied clash and two no-results. They have a run rate of over nine and an average of 31.08 with the bat, with the high score of 297 that they posted recently, along with the lowest score of 79 runs.

New Zealand sits at the top with 58 victories in 113 matches at a wins ratio of 1.45, having collected the runs at a rate of 8.93 with the best of 243 at home, while the Caribbean side has earned 53 victories at an average of 24.12 and an economy rate of just over eight.
India join New Zealand and West Indies to play 100 T20Is at home
In the second T20I in Raipur, India’s captain, Suryakumar Yadav, won the toss and decided to bowl first as he marked how the dew had already been effective before the start of the game, which would anyway help them in chasing the total down with their massive batting line-up in the second innings.
India made two changes in their squad, giving breaks to Axar Patel, who was hit on his finger in the previous game while bowling before not completing his full quarter of four overs, while they also gave rest to the premier pacer, Jasprit Bumrah, as Harshit Rana and Kuldeep Yadav made their way back into the playing 11 for this contest.
New Zealand decided make three changes as Tim Seifert returned to the playing 11 at the opening position, while Zakary Foulkes and Matt Henry also made their presence in the playing 11 for this Raipur game.
