India face another injury scare ahead of IND vs NAM T20 World Cup 2026
On the eve of their T20 World Cup 2026 encounter against Namibia at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi, India face another injury scare in the trainning session as concerns grow in the Indian camp.

Life hasn’t been easy for Suryakumar Yadav, the captain of the Indian T20I side, who has to deal with another injury scare after 24 hours before their second encounter of the T20 World Cup 2026 campaign against Namibia, as they were practicing at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi. The blue brigade would hope to get the issue sorted before the contest.
On the eve of the clash during the net session, Jasprit Bumrah, who was out of the opening contest against the United States of America (USA) due to viral fever at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai, came with full pace at Ishan Kishan, as the left-handed batter copped a yorker on the bridge of his foot.
Kishan looked in a lot of pain at the instant moment as the physio rushed him to check the left-handed batter, who tried to stroll for a few moments to get the blood flow going. It would be a tricky 24 hours for the home management to see their southpaw opener getting back in full fitness and take the field against Namibia.

India is already sweating for the fitness of their premier opening batter, Abhishek Sharma, who was hospitalized two days before the game and has an upset stomach since arriving in Delhi. India’s head coach, Gautam Gambhir, was really concerned when Abhishek arrived at his residence on Sunday (February 08).
India, if Abhishek gets ruled out of the Namibia clash, would be using Sanju Samson as the opening partner of Kishan. In case the latter gets ruled out of the fixture, then the issue will begin, as they may then need to find another option in the opening spot and perhaps promote Tilak Varma in that position.
The issue will also be around their next contest against Pakistan, which begins on February 15 at the R Premadasa Cricket Stadium in Colombo, where India will perhaps have all of their members of the campaign to be fully fit.
