India 's updated Squad for Champions Trophy: Bumrah Injured, Jaiswal Left Out; Harshit Rana & Varun Chakaravarthy In

Team India’s key fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah will miss the ICC Champions Trophy due to a back injury, and young pacer Harshit Rana will replace him. Spinner Varun Chakaravarthy has been added to the squad in place of Yashasvi Jaiswal. The left-handed opener was part of the previous squad but will now be a backup player, along with Mohammed Siraj and Shivam Dube. These three will stay on standby and only travel to Dubai if needed.  

Even though Bumrah’s injury is a setback, the team still has a good mix of experience and young talent, with Rohit Sharma as captain. India will be hoping the new players step up will help the squad to win the Champions Trophy.

Rohit Sharma (Captain), Shubman Gill (Vice-captain), Virat Kohli, Shreyas Iyer, KL Rahul (WK), Rishabh Pant (WK), Hardik Pandya, Axar Patel, Washington Sundar, Kuldeep Yadav, Harshit Rana, Mohd. Shami, Arshdeep Singh, Ravindra Jadeja, Varun Chakaravarthy.

Harshit replaces Bumrah and Varun replaces Jaiswal.

Non Travelling substitutes: 

Yashasvi Jaiswal, Mohammed Siraj and Shivam Dube. The three players will travel to Dubai if needed.
