Amid the India vs West Indies 2-match Test series, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is all set to announce the squads for the upcoming limited series against Australia.
According to some media reports, two India star batters, Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli, can make a comeback for Team India. After taking retirements from T20Is and Test cricket, these two cricketers are only available for One Day International matches. Ahead of the India vs Australia series, both of them have already begun their preparations. But the question is, who will lead India in ODIs against Australia? Will it be Rohit or someone else?
There are some reports claiming that the board may think beyond Sharma and can choose a new leader for the highly anticipated series. Rohit Sharma last played an ODI match for the Men in Blue back on March 9, 2025, vs New Zealand. Since then, he has been out of action on the international stage.
