India U19 post 411/9 in IND U-19 vs ENG U-19 ICC U19 Cricket World Cup 2026 Final

The five-time champions India U19 are in the mission to stretch their title record with a record-breaking total, 411/9, in the Final of the ICC U19 Cricket World Cup 2026 against England U19 at Harare on Friday (February 6).

ICC U19 Cricket World Cup 2026, Final (India U19 vs England U19): India U19 scored 411/9 in 50 overs 

After India U19 chose to bat first in the Final, they scored 411/9 in 50 overs, powered by the opener Vaibhav Sooryavanshi's stormy 175 off 80 balls with the help of 15 fours and 15 sixes. While Vaibhav scored the highest runs in the U19 World Cup Final, India U19 comfortably recorded the highest total in the U19 World Cup Final, breaking the previous record of 253/7 by Australia U19 vs India U19 in the 2024 edition.

Highest total in ICC U19 Cricket World Cup knockouts 

Meanwhile, the 411/9 for India U19 was also the record total in the U19 Cricket World Cup knockout stages, while the previous record was 349/6 for India U19 against Namibia U19 in the 2016 Quarter-finals.

Highest total in any U19 ODI Final (Youth ODI Final)

On the other hand, the 411/9 for India U19 is also the new record for the highest total in the history of a Final in any U19 ODI or Youth ODI tournaments. The previous record was 347/8 by Pakistan U19 against India U19 in the U19 Asia Cup 2025 Final. 

India U19 recorded their 2nd highest ICC U19 Cricket World Cup total

While India U19 recorded their third 400+ total in the tournament history, the most by a team, the 411/9 was their second-highest total in the U19 Cricket World Cup history. Their record total in the tournament is 425/3 against Scotland U19 in the 2004 edition. In the meantime, India U19's 411/9 was the third-highest total in their Youth ODI history, while the record is 433/6 against UAE U19 in the U19 Asia Cup 2025.  

So, the 411/9 for India U19 became the fifth-highest total in the history of the ICC U19 Cricket World Cup.  

Apart from the storm of Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, captain Ayush Mhatre scored 53 off 51 balls. While Vedant Trivedi (32) and Vihaan Malhotra (30) were dismissed for 30s, wicketkeeper-batter Abhigyan Kundu scored 40 off 31 balls. Also, Kanishk Chouhan lately scored 37 not out off 20 balls with three fours and one six.
