The BCCI’s Junior Cricket Committee has announced the India U19 squad for the tour of England, which will take place from June 24 to July 23, 2025. The month-long tour includes a 50-over warm-up match, followed by a five-match Youth One-Day series and two multi-day games against the England U19 side. This tour provides a valuable platform for emerging talents to gain overseas experience in varied conditions and showcase their skills against strong opposition in both limited-overs and red-ball formats.
The India U19 squad will be led by Ayush Mhatre, with Abhigyan Kundu named as the vice-captain and one of the two wicketkeepers alongside Harvansh Singh. The squad also features promising young cricketers such as Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, Vihaan Malhotra, Maulyarajsinh Chavda, and Mohammed Enaan. The bowling attack includes talents like Harvansh Singh, Yudhajit Guha, and Aditya Rana. Five standby players have also been named: Naman Pushpak, D Deepesh, Vedant Trivedi, Vikalp Tiwari, and Alankrith Rapole (WK), who may be called upon if required during the tour.
The tour begins with a 50-over warm-up match at Loughborough University on June 24. This is followed by five Youth One-Day Internationals at venues including Hove, Northampton, and Worcester. The red-ball leg of the tour includes two multi-day matches, scheduled at Beckenham (July 12–15) and Chelmsford (July 20–23). These fixtures offer the young Indian players a chance to adapt to English conditions and refine their techniques. The tour will be an important step in preparing the next generation of cricketers for international challenges.
