Pakistan secured their spot in the Super 4s with a clinical victory against the hosts, the United Arab Emirates (UAE). India, from Group A, already moved into the next round. Pakistan also went to the round of four. As both of the teams passed the preliminary tests, the chances of a high-octane India vs Pakistan Asia Cup 2025 final match got brighter. To make the IND vs PAK final possible, both of the teams need to tick some criteria as well, as the best four teams of the contest will be locking horns with each other.

India vs Pakistan Asia Cup 2025 final match chances:

Current scenario for Team India to play the final:

So far in the tournament, India has emerged as one of the most dominant forces among all 8 teams in the contest. Without facing any notable difficulties, they stormed into the next round with a strong net run rate of +4.793. The net run rate can be a decisive factor in the Super 4s. Apart from India and Pakistan, Group B, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, or Afghanistan can enter into the phase of the tournament.

The best way to get a ticket to the final is to win all the matches in the round of four. If they somehow fall short in a match or multiple matches, then the positive run will help them to qualify for the final. As of now, the Surya Kumar Yadav-led Men in Blue have high chances to get a spot in the summit clash. But it will be interesting to see how the team reacts when they face a tough situation in a knockout phase.

Current scenario for the Pakistan cricket team to play the final:

Pakistan's performance in the ongoing Asia Cup 2025 is far away from convincing. More than the on-field performance, it is the off-field drama that helps them to remain relevant in the headlines. Their opening pair failed on repeated occasions. Even against lower-ranked teams, their opening pair misfired, and especially the off form of Saim Ayub became a cause for the team management to be worried about. Pakistan skipper Salman Ali Agha also was unable to bat with full confidence. As their top and middle order failed to perform as a unit, the lower order had to deliver. As they moved to the Super 4s, they now have to pay more focus than before on batting performances. Pakistan's net run rate is also much lower than India's net run rate. While India's net run rate is +4.793, Pakistan carries +1.790.

In the round of four, the brigade in green may have to face tough contenders like Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, or Afghanistan. Lack of firepower in batting and a comparatively lower run rate could trouble the team and cause them to lose one or many matches in the Super 4s round. The best way for them to qualify for the final is to win all or most of the matches in the next stage.
