All background work is done as the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) is set to release the schedule for the upcoming Asia Cup 2025 amidst all the controversy and debate on its future. The competition is well on track as the dates for the fixtures are likely to come anytime between July 26 and 27. The recent meeting of the members in Dhaka has cleared the air.

It vaporized the controversy as the geopolitical situation seems to have been settled now between India and its neighbours, Pakistan and Bangladesh, as it was just a matter of time. The full schedule is expected to be released in a staggered manner on July 26, 27, and 28. But the reports have already claimed that the tournament will begin on September 10 and go till 28.

Date for India vs Pakistan fixture of Asia Cup 2025 revealed

The BCCI (Board of Control for Cricket in India) will be the designated host of the continental championship and is making the final draft of the game. A little change could happen, but overall, the dates are expected to be around the second and third week of September. India, in other news, is in talks to play an away bilateral series in Sri Lanka.

The matter is with the BCCI, which perhaps will have a few commercial partnerships before finalizing the dates of the T20-format tournament and releasing them through the BCCI and the official ACC platform. It has already been reported that the 20-over format of the event will take place, looking at the upcoming T20 World Cup 2026 in India and Sri Lanka.

Eight teams- India, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Hong Kong, UAE, and Oman- will face each other in 19 games. The final will be on the last Sunday of September. It will be interesting to see the response of the fans to the event after the canceled clash between the champions of India and Pakistan during the World Championship of Legends (WCL) 2025.
