Watch: ‘Indian Cricket Council’? Saqlain Mushtaq claims India will take advantage after Pakistan exit from T20 World Cup 2026
Saqlain Mushtaq questions ICC fairness, claiming India could benefit after Pakistan’s T20 World Cup 2026 exit; his ‘Indian Cricket Council’ remark sparks debate.

Pakistan's exit from the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2026 didn't sit well with former cricketer Saqlain Mustaq, who ended up calling the ICC the 'Indian Cricket Council' during a live show ahead of the India vs West Indies game in Kolkata. On the live show, there were discussions around the teams and their power-hitting cricketers.
When the host asked about Mushtaq's opinions, he explained beautifully how the West Indies draw the power and mindset from their former players who have played cricket. He also spoke about India and mentioned that they have talented players in the squad. However, he went on to speak about the pitch conditions and that the ICC might keep the pitch conditions in India's favor.
"The match is going to be contested. However, one thing we'll have to see. Indian Cricket Council, ICC, not the other one. We'll have to see how they make the pitch. They can get a 10-15% margin if it's favorable to the team. When you know the conditions are like this, you will manage your team better," said Saqlain Mushtaq.
