Jammu and Kashmir cricket team created history on Saturday (February 28) by winning their first-ever Ranji Trophy title after managing a huge first innings lead in the Final of the Ranji Trophy 2025-26 against Karnataka, the eight-time Ranji Trophy champions

Jammu and Kashmir dominated Ranji Trophy 2025-26 Final against Karnataka

In the Ranji Trophy 2025-26 Final, Jammu and Kashmir scored 584 runs in the first innings after winning the toss, while Karnataka were all out for 293 runs. Before declaring their second innings, which also ended the game, J&K scored 342/4. 

Earlier in the tournament, after finishing as the runners-up in the Elite Group D with 24 points in seven games, behind Mumbai (33 points), J&K beat Madhya Pradesh by 56 runs in the Quarter-final, and Bengal by six wickets in the Semi-final.
