CSK vs RR: Weather and Pitch Report

CSK vs RR: Match Preview

Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals have both had disastrous IPL 2025 seasons, with neither of them in the running for the playoffs. CSK, rock bottom with three victories from12 games, have been hit by a struggling batting order and pathetic bowling unit.  Rachin Ravindra and MS Dhoni have not been in form. Ravindra Jadeja is still a vital all-rounder, but the bowling department, featuring Khaleel Ahmed and Matheesha Pathirana, has been poor, with CSK leaking high scores consistently. Rajasthan Royals, with three wins from 13 matches, have also failed to live up to their early-season optimism.

Their top order depends on Sanju Samson, Riyan Parag and Yashasvi Jaiswal's. The bowling, spearheaded by Wanindu Hasaranga (4 wickets against CSK in their previous match) and Sandeep Sharma, has had glimpses of quality but has been inconsistent. RR's recent results, such as a six-run victory against CSK in Guwahati, speak about their capability to fight, but the entire season has been stalled because of a lack of depth and subpar spin bowling (lowest number of wickets taken by the spinners this season).
