Match 64 of IPL 2025 will see Gujarat Titans (GT) take on Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) on May 22, 2025, in Ahmedabad's Narendra Modi Stadium, starting at 7:30 PM IST. GT, having already qualified for the playoffs, wants to finish in the top two so they can win their way to the final, just like in 2022 and 2023. LSG are out of the playoffs.
In the Narendra Modi Stadium, GT and LSG faced each other once in IPL 2023, as GT won by 7 runs, having established their dominance in this venue. The rivalry has been competitive; however, GT's top-order strength pushes them forward.
IPL 2025, Match 26 - April 12, Lucknow
LSG chased down a challenging score led by the steady Aiden Markram (58) and Nicholas Pooran (61 runs from 20 balls, including 7 sixes), putting GT’s four-match winning streak to rest. Markram was awarded Player of the Match for his anchoring innings. LSG bowlers, led by Bishnoi and Thakur, kept GT to a reasonable total after they had a strong 120-run partnership for the first wicket.
IPL 2024, Match 21 - April 7, Lucknow
GT’s bowlers, led by Umesh Yadav and Darshan Nalkande, defended a small total while running out of steam in the contest. Yash Thakur's five wickets for LSG went in vain, with Yadav winning Player of the Match for picking up crucial breaks on the way.
