In the 62nd match of the IPL 2025, the Chennai Super Kings vs Rajasthan Royals (CSK vs RR) match has been scheduled for Tuesday evening (May 20) at Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. It will be their second meeting this season after Rajasthan Royals beat CSK by six runs in their previous IPL 2025 clash in Guwahati. It will be the last game for Royals this season.
It will be the battle for avoiding the last place in the IPL 2025 points table. In the latest IPL 2025 points table, Rajasthan Royals are in the ninth position with six points in 13 matches (three wins and 10 losses), and Chennai Super Kings are in the 10th or last position with six points in 12 games (three wins and nine losses).
Rajasthan Royals lost all their last three fixtures. Meanwhile, Chennai Super Kings won their last game after losing four straight matches.
For Chennai Super Kings, English cricketers Sam Curran and Jamie Overton, Australian Nathan Ellis, and New Zealander Rachin Ravindra are unavailable for the remainder of the season. The other four overseas players, Afghan Noor Ahmad, Sri Lankan Matheesha Pathirana, South African Dewald Brevis, and New Zealander Devon Conway, are available for the remaining two matches of the season.
Rajasthan Royals may take a decision between Fazalhaq Farooqi and Maheesh Theekshana, while the 19-year-old South African Lhuan-dre Pretorius can be a surprising package.
