The 32nd match between Delhi Capitals (DC) and Rajasthan Royals (RR) saw DC posting a total of 188-5 in their 20 overs. The innings began on a positive note, with the top order showing aggressive intent. However, as the innings progressed, the momentum dipped midway, especially during the partnership between KL Rahul and Abishek Porel. While Porel managed a decent 49, and Rahul scored 38, their approach slowed the scoring rate significantly, causing the innings to lose steam during the crucial middle overs.
Despite the slowdown in the middle phase, Delhi Capitals managed to bounce back towards the end. The final overs saw a resurgence in scoring, but what truly turned heads was the last over bowled by Sandeep Sharma. Known for his precision in death overs, Sandeep surprisingly lost his rhythm this time. The final over turned into a chaotic affair, conceding 19 runs and including a series of extras that added pressure on the Rajasthan Royals.

The last over by Sandeep was far from ideal, featuring 11 deliveries due to a mix of wides and a no-ball. The sequence of balls—Wd, 0, Wd, Wd, Wd, N1, 4, 6, 1, 1, 1—summed up a wayward over from an otherwise dependable bowler. Delhi made the most of the lapses, ending their innings with a strong total. The dramatic finish shifted the momentum slightly, giving the Capitals hope as they headed into the second innings with runs on the board and confidence in their late flourish.

Delhi Capitals put up a solid total of 188/5 in their 20 overs after being asked to bat first by Rajasthan Royals. The innings began explosively with Jake Fraser-McGurk scoring a fiery 96 off just 64 balls, smashing 9 fours and 6 sixes before falling to Jofra Archer. Abishek Porel also contributed with a quick 49 off 37 deliveries. However, the Capitals suffered a middle-order wobble, with Karun Nair being run out for a duck and KL Rahul scoring a slow 38 off 32 balls, slowing down the scoring rate during the middle overs.
Tristan Stubbs and Axar Patel revived the innings in the death overs, scoring 34 runs each with explosive strike rates of 188.89 and 242.86 respectively. Ashutosh Sharma added a handy 15* at the end. Rajasthan’s bowling was led by Jofra Archer with 2 wickets, while Hasaranga and Theekshana picked up one each. Sandeep Sharma had an expensive outing, conceding 33 in 4 overs. Delhi's scoring was helped by 9 extras and a powerplay boost of 46 runs in the first 6 overs.
