Hat-trick of 6s, Shreyas Iyer is in full swing, and Reece Topley would definitely like to forget his debut match for Mumbai Indians. 

After a session of rain, now it is raining fours and sixes at Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad. The skipper of Punjab Kings created an absolute mayhem in the 13th over of the second innings while they were chasing Mumbai Indians' 203 in the Qualifier 2 of IPL 2025. With an eventually slow surface, chasing a target over 200 is not an easy task to do, but the situation is do or die for both Punjab Kings and Mumbai Indians. During the writing of this article, the match is balancing on a thin line; MI and PBKS have close chances to qualify for the final to compete with Royal Challengers Bengaluru. 

PBKS entered into the field with their ace spinner, Yuzvendra Chahal. Which definitely strengthens their bowling line, as well as their morale. During the Qualifier 1 match against RCB, PBKS produced the worst batting performance of the ongoing IPL. From that setback, they are facing the Mumbai Indians with a belief to turn their fate. Punjab, yet to grab the IPL title, is now looking dangerous under immense pressure. And their skipper, Shreyas Iyer, chose this pressure situation to prove his mettle.

Mumbai Indians' decision to include Reece Topley in the first lineup has shocked many cricket fans, as his past records in IPL remained below the bar. Iyer targeted the newly linked point of MI to accelerate his innings. 

In the second ball of the 13th over, Topley went for an around-the-leg and middle-stump-line delivery. The right-handed batter was in an exact position to power the ball for a 6, a much-needed six for PBKS at that moment. Iyer gets the ball at a comfortable height, swings his bat across, and pulls this over the deep square leg for an over boundary. In the following delivery, the MI bowler tried something different, fuller, and around off. This time the ball flew over the long-on region for a huge six. The third one Iyer played with the bat straight down and hoisted it over the bowler for another monster.
