IPL 2025: Shubman Gill Creates History, Stuns All with Record-Breaking Leadership Performance

There are constant rumours about the personal life of Team India's star batsman Shubman Gill. He is currently captaining the Gujarat Titans (GT) in the IPL. Under his leadership, the team is at the top of the IPL 2025 points table, winning 6 out of 8 matches so far. Now, the prince of Indian cricket has added another feather to his cap. In the IPL 2025 season, Gill has scored 465* runs till now. With this, he has become the only captain to score over 400 runs in this year's tournament.

Gill was in the spotlight for yesterday’s match. The Gujarat Titans captain played a strong innings against the Sunrisers Hyderabad. He was close to scoring a century but got run out while trying to steal a run. However, he looked unhappy with the umpire’s decision. A video of him went viral on social media, where he is seen arguing heatedly with the match official near the boundary line.

Shubman Gill Continues His Consistent Run in IPL, Crosses 400 Runs for Sixth Straight Season

However, the youngster played a brilliant knock of 76 runs off just 38 balls yesterday. With this, he crossed the 400-run mark in the ongoing IPL 2025 season. He has become the only captain to score 400+ runs this season so far.

Despite this achievement, the Orange Cap currently belongs to his teammate, Sai Sudharsan. Apart from this, Gill has also set another impressive record—he has now scored 400 or more runs in six consecutive IPL seasons. His performances over the years are as follows:
