Batting, bowling, and later fielding- the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) was clinical in every single department of the game during the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 against the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru, and the visitors would love to start fresh from this situation.

Chennai started well with the ball but was later deprived of their planning against the aggressive knock of Tim David. The same situation took place even with the bat in the chase, where they kept playing their shots and kept losing wickets regularly to put more pressure on them.

Jitesh Sharma’s stunning catch sends back Shivam Dube for 18

Having already found themselves at a strong position with the ball after the first drinks break in the defense, the Rajat Patidar-led side introduced Abhinandan Singh into the attack for the tenth over of the innings. The right-arm pacer came up with some fine fast bowling.

On the penultimate delivery of the over, the pacer got the inside edge of Dube on 18 runs. It was not that short to be pulling, and he managed the inside edge as the ball went right of the wicket-keeper and kept dying on him.

Jitesh Sharma was a bit and dived on his right for a full-length and snaffled a low catch with his right hand. The ball was stuck in the middle of his two fingers, as it was enough to send the batter back.

CSK came up with ultra-aggressive approach

Super Kings didn’t make a great start, losing their captain, Ruturaj Gaikwad, early in the chase along with inform Ayush Mhatre. Their number four batter, Sarfaraz Khan, contributed a valuable knock of 50 runs in 25 balls with the help of eight boundaries and a couple of sixes at a strike rate of 200.
