IPL 2026, Match 17 - PBKS vs SRH: Toss Update and Playing XI

The 17th match of the IPL 2026 has been scheduled between Punjab Kings and SunRisers Hyderabad (PBKS vs SRH). Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium in New Chandigarh is hosting this fixture on Saturday afternoon (April 11). It is the fourth match for both teams this season, while the venue is hosting its second game of the tournament. 

IPL 2014 and 2025 runners-up Punjab Kings are unbeaten in the IPL 2026, as they have earned five points after three matches. After beating Gujarat Titans in New Chandigarh in their season opener, where PBKS won by three wickets with five balls remaining, they beat the hosts Chennai Super Kings after successfully chasing the 210-run target by losing five wickets in 18.4 overs. Their last match was against the hosts Kolkata Knight Riders, which had no result after KKR scored 25/2. 

Meanwhile, the IPL 2016 champions SunRisers Hyderabad have earned two points after their first three matches, where they won once and lost twice. While the defending champions Royal Challengers Bengaluru beat them by six wickets after successfully chasing the 202-run target at home in the tournament opener, SRH claimed a 65-run win against the hosts Kolkata Knight Riders after scoring 226/8. In their last game against Lucknow Super Giants, the hosts SRH lost by five wickets with one ball remaining.

Punjab Kings captain Shreyas Iyer won the toss and chose to field first. Meanwhile, the SunRisers Hyderabad skipper Ishan Kishan also confirmed that he would choose to field first.
