The IPL 2026 fourth match has been scheduled for Punjab Kings vs Gujarat Titans (PBKS vs GT), which is set to be played at Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium (New Chandigarh) on Tuesday evening (March 31). It is the first match for both teams this season.

Punjab Kings highly impressed last season under the leadership of Shreyas Iyer. While he joined the team as an IPL title-winning captain, under his leadership Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) won the IPL 2024 trophy, they reached the IPL 2025 Playoffs for the first time in 11 years, after finishing as runners-up in the 2014 edition. PBKS played their second IPL Final in the 2025 edition, where they finished runners-up after losing the Final against the maiden title winners Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) by six runs. PBKS are now dreaming of making one step better in the IPL 2026 to lift the trophy for the first time.

The Gujarat Titans are also ready for their first match of the season. They stunned in their debut season in 2022, where they won the title after beating the inaugural champions Rajasthan Royals (RR), in the Final. In the 2023 edition, the defending champions Titans finished runners-up after losing the Final against the Chennai Super Kings (CSK). After finishing the 2024 season in the eighth position, GT reached the Playoffs last season, but they couldn't surpass the Eliminator.

IPL 2026, Match 4 - PBKS vs GT: Toss Update

Punjab Kings captain Shreyas Iyer won the toss and chose to field first. In the meantime, Gujarat Titans skipper Shubman Gill feels confident to bat on the track.
