Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium (Uppal, Hyderabad) is hosting this game on Wednesday night (May 6). It is the sixth IPL 2026 match in this Hyderabad venue, while SRH are playing their 11th game, and PBKS are playing their 10th match of the season. It is their second meeting in the IPL 2026.

On the other hand, Punjab Kings lost their last two games in the final over battles. While the two-time runners-up are currently running with a two-match losing streak, the franchise is desperate to break this frustrating record now.
New Chandigarh hosted their first meeting of the season during the 17th game of the IPL 2026. While SRH scored 219/6 in 20 overs, PBKS chased down the target in 18.5 overs after losing four wickets. Punjab Kings captain Shreyas Iyer won the Player of the Match award for his brilliant batting performance of 69 not out off 33 balls.
